Support for Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator –  1 hour (min)

Advice on a wide variety of topics to support whole school SEND development including:

  • Support for new and existing SENCOs on implementing the Code of Practice, developing SEN policy,  updating School Information reports, Provision mapping etc.
  • Support on preparation for Education and Health Care Plan requests
  • Signposting to other agencies
  • Interpreting standardised tests
  • Support for transition of Statement to EHCP
  • Attendance at reviews for pupils with EHCP or at SEN Support
  • Guidance regarding Quality First teaching and differentiation
  • Advice around suitable resources and well-founded interventions 

Support for school staff  –  1 hour (min)

  • Workshops for teachers
  • Feedback of assessment reports
  • Support and/or advice for NQTs
  • Liaison with Teaching Assistants and support staff
  • Advice for supporting individual pupils
  • Modelling of interventions
